New Luxury Hotel for Italy: Sofitel To Open in Genoa

Italy’s sixth-largest city, Genoa, will soon welcome a new luxury hotel: the Sofitel Genoa Waterfront. Accor has revealed the project as part of the large-scale Waterfront di Levante development, designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano. Opening in 2027, the hotel will combine French art de vivre with Ligurian maritime heritage, adding international flair to a city until now dominated by independent properties.

The Sofitel Genoa Waterfront will feature 120 rooms, including 20 suites, blending modern French elegance with Genoa’s maritime traditions. Known as a hidden gem for Italy lovers, Genoa offers a mix of historic palaces, narrow alleys, vibrant port life, and a rich culinary culture.
