What Awaits You at the Waldorf Astoria New York
Beyond its collection of elegant rooms and suites, the Waldorf Astoria now includes 375 private residences, available for purchase starting at around $1.8 million USD. Originally home to 1,400 rooms and suites, the space has been reimagined to offer fewer—but much more spacious—accommodations.
“The rooms will double in size, starting at around 600 square feet. I think that’s the most exciting part—we now have a product that meets the expectations of today’s luxury travelers.”
— Dino Michael, Global Head of Hilton Luxury Brands

The sophisticated interiors were redesigned by renowned designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. Many room categories now feature larger living areas (starting at approx. 570 square feet), Art Deco-inspired elements, separate dressing areas, and top-tier materials. The redesign beautifully blends the building’s historic legacy with contemporary comfort—an homage to the hotel’s golden era and a nod to its future.
Historic Charm Meets Modern Elegance
Public areas have also been thoughtfully restored. A central highlight is the grand lobby, complete with the original 1893 clock—painstakingly restored to its former glory. The beloved Peacock Alley returns as a sophisticated cocktail lounge, celebrating the hotel’s storied past with modern flair.

Guests can also look forward to elevated dining, including the new Lex Yard, an American brasserie offering à la carte and seasonal tasting menus upstairs and a more relaxed bar with a raw bar selection on the ground level. For those craving refined Japanese flavors, Yoshoku presents a unique culinary experience.
