BVLGARI Hotels Explained: Locations, Perks & How to Book Right
There are a couple of Marriott-affiliated brands that often cause confusion: Ritz-Carlton Reserve and BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts. We recently covered the basics of Ritz-Carlton Reserve and what sets it apart from standard Ritz-Carlton properties. In this post, we’re turning our attention to BVLGARI.

BVLGARI doesn’t participate in Marriott Bonvoy
Even though BVLGARI Hotels are listed on marriott.com, they don’t participate in the Marriott Bonvoy program. That means:
You can’t earn Bonvoy points
You can’t redeem Bonvoy points
Bonvoy elite members don’t receive recognition or benefits when staying
For practical purposes, it’s best to treat BVLGARI as independent from Marriott — aside from the fact that it’s still bookable through Marriott’s site and participates in Marriott STARS, a program offering exclusive perks when booked through an eligible luxury travel advisor.
We’re highlighting this upfront to manage expectations. While these hotels are beautiful, Bonvoy members won’t find the usual program benefits here.

That said, we wouldn’t be surprised if BVLGARI eventually joins Marriott Bonvoy, just like Ritz-Carlton Reserve did. With Marriott’s dynamic pricing, redemptions at BVLGARI could one day make more financial sense.
The basics of BVLGARI hotels
BVLGARI (or Bvlgari, or Bulgari — the “V” instead of “U” nods to Roman typography) is an Italian luxury brand best known for jewelry, watches, fragrances, and leather goods.
The company expanded into hospitality through a collaboration with Ritz-Carlton (a Marriott brand), opening its first hotel in 2004. Growth was initially slow, but the brand has recently picked up speed and is expected to have a dozen properties by 2028.
According to BVLGARI itself:
“Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts aims to be the leading luxury hospitality collection in the world. Comprised of a few, selected properties in major cosmopolitan cities and luxury resort destinations, its aim is to convey the excitement of the Bvlgari brand, its timeless glamour and its heritage of magnificent Roman jeweller.”

How to book a BVLGARI stay
The best way to book a stay at a BVLGARI hotel is through our very own Unmatched Voyages Hotels, which offers access to Marriott STARS benefits — Marriott’s own luxury program for select travel advisors. By booking through this channel, you’ll receive:
To be eligible, bookings typically need to be made under the flexible or standard rate. STARS rates are often comparable to the lowest publicly available options and are prioritized over other programs like Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts® or Virtuoso, especially when it comes to room upgrades.
If you’re interested in booking with Marriott STARS benefits, go to our hotel booking site to check our rates and make a booking, or reach out to our team at contact@unmatchedvoyages.com, who can help you secure the best experience and perks.
Are BVLGARI properties worth staying at?
Many luxury brands have entered the hotel space (like Cheval Blanc from LVMH), but BVLGARI has managed to carve out a unique niche — particularly with its city-focused portfolio. In highly competitive markets like Dubai, Tokyo, and Paris, BVLGARI stands out by emphasizing design, service, wellness, and gastronomy.
Two elements of the guest experience especially stand out:
Spa and wellness – Most properties feature expansive, beautifully designed spas with indoor pools and high-end wellness offerings.
Dining – Every hotel includes Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, a consistently high-quality dining experience, along with additional outlets.
In terms of value, these properties sit at the top end of the pricing spectrum and are clearly designed for a fashion-forward, price-insensitive clientele. They cater especially well to guests from Asia and Africa, with a more internationally diverse guest profile than many other luxury hotel groups.
Conclusion
BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts began as a collaboration with Ritz-Carlton and remains affiliated with Marriott, though it doesn’t participate in Bonvoy. That means no points, no redemptions, and no elite benefits — at least for now.
Despite the limited Marriott connection, the BVLGARI hotel collection includes some spectacular properties in iconic destinations. While these stays won’t earn you points, booking through Unmatched Voyages Hotels gives you access to Marriott STARS benefits and a VIP experience that’s hard to beat.
If you’re looking for polished design, world-class spas, and high-end dining — and you’re less concerned about value per dollar — BVLGARI hotels are well worth considering.
